Birch Green’s residents got up-close-and-personal with a range of animals during a visit recently by Home Safari.
The organisation offers animal-assisted therapy sessions and visited Birch Green with creatures including Jethro the Skunk, who was as popular as always, and Ziggy the Gecko.
Kay, one of our staff members, has always wanted a skunk and had the honour of taking him to visit all our ladies and gentlemen.
Betty, the Bearded Dragon, was also very popular, and Christine, one of our residents, said his skin felt ‘really funny’ as she gave him a stroke.
The oldest animal, 17-year-old Fred the Tortoise, was quite happy walking around the lounge.
Thanks to everyone for visiting, we can’t wait to see you again soon.
